Tile refinishing
VCT Floor Stripping, Sealing & Waxing in Addison
Dull, yellowed tile taken back to bare and rebuilt with sealer, fresh finish and a burnish, while the building is closed.
When Mopping Stops Making the Floor Look Clean
Vinyl composition tile is tough, cheap to replace and everywhere: breakrooms, corridors, classrooms, retail aisles, church fellowship halls. It also has a quirk. The tile itself does not shine. The shine lives in the finish on top of it, and that finish wears down, traps dirt and slowly turns yellow. At some point mopping only moves grime around a dull surface. That is the moment for a strip and wax. Commercial Cleaning Addison removes the old finish with stripping solution and a floor machine, then scrubs and rinses the tile until it is bare and clean. Once dry, the floor gets a sealer and multiple coats of new finish, and no coat goes down until the last has cured enough. To finish, a fast-spinning burnisher toughens the top layer and pulls out a deep shine. Between full strips, routine burnishing keeps that shine going longer. Work happens overnight or across a weekend, so a hallway off the main lobby can be stripped after close and ready for foot traffic before your staff return.
What the Strip and Wax Includes

Finish removal
Stripper applied and worked with a floor machine to lift every old coat.
Scrub and rinse
Residue scrubbed out and rinsed so the new finish bonds to clean tile.

Fresh finish coats
Thin layers of finish, with drying time honored between every one.
High-speed shine
A burnisher run over the cured coats to toughen them and pull up the gloss.

Furniture returned and the area ready for your people when they arrive.
How a Strip and Wax Job Runs
Look at the floor
We talk about the square footage, the traffic and how the floor looks now. A walkthrough helps us see buildup, damaged tiles and how much furniture needs to move.
Set the window
You get a written price and a time slot that keeps the area closed only while the building is empty, usually overnight or over a weekend.
Strip, coat, burnish
The crew strips, scrubs, seals, lays fresh coats and burnishes. We go over the floor with you afterward and talk about a burnishing rhythm to keep it looking good.
